Calling all keen hikers: explore the rustic alpine landscape of ‘Durchkaser’ on the Steinplatte in Waidring, the shortest long-distance hiking trail, the ‘WaiWi’, and the wild Griesbach Gorge, accessible via a wooden walkway and a suspension bridge. A scenic, alpine day’s hike takes you along signposted trails to the Loferer Steinberge. You’ll receive a warm welcome from Kathi, the hut warden, who invites you to stop off for regional delicacies at the Schmidt-Zabierow Alpine Hut at 1,966 m.
