Travelling to Tyrol by train – including a free shuttle service to the Bio Chalets Alpegg

Travelling by train to the Pillerseetal is a comfortable and eco-friendly way to get there, and you’ll be able to soak up the relaxed holiday atmosphere as soon as you arrive.

Both the journey by train to Fieberbrunn stationand the subsequent shuttle service to the Bio Chalets Alpegg in Waidring are included in your guest card – subject to prior booking.

You can find all the information about the shuttle service and how to book it on the website of the PillerseeTal – Kitzbüheler Alpen Tourist Board.

Important information for guests at the Suite Spielberg in Fieberbrunn:
If you book in advance, the free shuttle service will take you directly from Fieberbrunn railway station to the Suite Spielberg, Spielbergstraße 27 in the centre of Fieberbrunn. Alternatively, with the guest card, you can also use the local bus service free of charge.

Simply leave your car behind and explore the Pillerseetal at your leisure using public transport. With your Bio Chalets Alpegg guest card , you can travel for free on buses in the Pillerseetal as well as to surrounding towns such as Kitzbühel, Ellmau and Lofer.

Simply show your guest card when you board and travel in comfort to hiking trails, day-trip destinations or the surrounding towns. This way, you can get around flexibly, sustainably and stress-free whilst on holiday.

Holidays in an electric car

For our Alpegg guests, two covered electric vehicle charging points are available in the carport to help ensure a sustainable holiday.

The rate is €0.52 per kilowatt-hour. A charging card, which is required for charging, is available at reception during opening hours.

Travelling by car

You can drive to our cosy apartments in Waidring/Steinplatte without having to pay any tolls. Here you’ll find all the important information you need, and of course private parking is available free of charge during your holiday.

Getting here from Munich: Take the A93 motorway from Munich towards Innsbruck – take exit 59 at Oberaudorf - Kössen - Waidring
Travelling from Salzburg: A1 or A10 to the “Salzburg West” exit, or via the Austrian-German border on the A8 to the “Bad Reichenhall” exit - B178 towards Lofer/Innsbruck – Waidring
Directions from Innsbruck: A12 towards Salzburg/Germany – Exit 17 Wörgl Ost – B178 towards St. Johann in Tirol – Waidring

How to get to the Talsenalm – by car from the Bio Chalets Alpegg

Before your stay at the Talsenalm begins, your first stop will be the Bio Chalets Alpegg in Waidring. There, you can easily collect your hut key from the key box. You’ll receive the access details for this in good time before your arrival by email.
From here, you can drive straight on to the Talsenalm. The route is easy to navigate – even in a standard car – and you can park right by the alpine pasture.
Tip: Please drive carefully – the final section in particular follows a narrow forest road through unspoilt countryside.

For anyone travelling by plane to the BIO Chalets Alpegg in Tyrol, there are three international airports – Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck – in the immediate vicinity. These make travelling to us in the Steinplatte region very easy.
